Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF)

The Office has initiated investigations into suspected corruption and corruption-related offences arising from the operations of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF). The scope of the inquiry encompasses payments made in relation to various projects and transactions, including but not limited to engagements with Agyapa Royalties Limited, the Small Scale Mining Incubation Programme (SSMIP), the Quarry Value Addition Programme (QVAP), Asante Gold Corporation, ElectroChem Ghana Limited, the Lithium Asset Project, Gold Asset 2 (the Enchi Gold Project), and other investment undertakings of the Fund.

The investigation further extends to the expenditure incurred in respect of the Chairman of the Board, the operational finances of MIIF, the acquisition of a parcel of land earmarked for the construction of an office building, contractual arrangements entered into by the Fund, and the production and dissemination of MIIF publications.

The inquiry specifically concerns two former officials and two serving officials of the Fund.
